A friend called me late last week and told me something that made me sick, but didn't suprise me one bit.
On BJ O'Sheas' Tuesday July 12th show, O'Shea said that he thought that the death of Don Geronimos' wife, Freda Sorce was a hoax cooked up by Don and Mike to get ratings.
I have no problem with personalities in the "shock talk" format saying things that are outrageous to gain attention and listenership, but O'Sheas' statement is beyond tasteless and bottom of the barrel and that's being kind. I mean, what if it was his butt-ugly wife or one of his kids that was killed?
I used to listen to KQBZ when the Don and Mike show was a part of the lineup. Since I cannot stand the other shows on the station, when they got dumped, I dumped "The Buzz". I heard O'Sheas' show many times during the two years D&M were on KQBZ and my opinion of him is that he is a low-rent, less than mediocre talent that has coattailed his way to marginal success. Non syndicated middays in Seattle is not exactly the big time.
Taking my opinion of this turd out of it, I am curious to know what others think of BJ making a statement like this. Taking his radio personna out of it, I think it shows what his REAL personality must be like. Am I the only one who thinks he should retract that statement on air and admit to it being something that was idiotic of him to say?
Edited by nocleverhandle on 07/18/05 11:35 PM.
