Owner of KQSS-FM, Miami buys KJAA-AM

Talk show host Rollye (James) Cornell co-owns KJAA (and KQSS) with her husband Jon. She programs the AM to her own tastes, admitting that she doesn't intend to monetize the AM format.

For those who are not familiar with the history here, Rollye was also the VoxJox editor/columnist for Billboard, as well a great talk host and all around radio person... as well as a good friend.

KJAA 1240 still off the air as of yesterday when I drove through Globe. Not that I miss them with all those obscure oldies they played.

Heard KJAA yesterday and today while driving through Globe. For the most part they are playing obscure oldies from the 50's-60's.
