Pauses occured when listening to OHP on The Cat a couple weeks ago

When I was listening to WREZ 105.5 The Cat in KY a couple days ago, I noticed there were silence pauses in the songs at times. After Open House Party ended, they were gone. What is that all about? Does this happen on other affiliated stations?

It sounds like the station either didn't have audio files in that particular closure cart or the relay triggers weren't on during the show. Were there any local commercials, station IDs, etc.?

"Silent pauses in the songs" are far more likely to be dropouts of the satellite feed than any missing files or relay closures.

Oops...I apparently I didn't read the message correctly before making my response. Greg is right, though. If you were hearing pauses in the middle of songs, you were more than likely hearing satellite feed dropouts.

Does the station run any other live syndicated programming besides Open House Party? If so, do you hear the same dropouts?

I didnt know this station streams,,, Are you in the area icy.

Maybe ice in the satellite dish.

wasp nest in the feedhorn?
I'm confused as to whether our pal IcyCool was listening off-air or via streaming...
(which would answer the question easily)
