PBRTV Reports WGBN 1360 WMMY 1150 Off The Air

Renda Broadcasting Donated 1360 , Salem Media Donated 1150, Is it Poor Management that Both are Off?. Maybe Renda Should have Given 1360 to the Knights of Columbus Bellview Council. They Had A Cp For An FM Station in Evans City That was Never Built.And They Buy Time on 620 WKHB.
 
Checking the FCC website today there is nothing listed for 1150 WMNY having an sta.but 1360 WGBN has one dated 11/17/15 not using nighttime power.
 
Both Stations WERE GIVEN to them as tax write offs the only expenses they would have and transmitter rent will the Squirrel Hill site. Are they not paying their bills? Does anyone know the real reason they're off the air?
 
The expenses they would have would be electric bills rent and I believe the transmitter sites were donated ,except for the Squirrel Hill one were they pay rent.
 
Tube City could do a lot with that station.

Run 1kW nondirectional day and night from the nighttime site. That would significantly reduce their maintenance expenses, and yet provide good coverage of McKeesport, which is what they want anyhow.

Yes they would serve the city of McKeesport and the surrounding areas. With local information. The FCC used to require that you estimate one year expenses to run your radio station, and that you had 80% of that available before you started. They should still do that especially when someone was given a free radio station. To be cynical I guess if you get a free radio station you also want free electricity free rent and free help!
 
Their is a Decent enough Population of Indians in Westeren Pa ,Maybe the South Asian Radio Network Zindagi could LMA 1360. They just entered New York,
 
Wmny 1150 is on with Loran Mann Stating "Gospel Excellence and Teaching Here to stay on AM 1150". 1360 still off
 
On Wednesday 5/18 Loran Mann was Talking on WMNY 1150 About the Work Needed to get the 1360 WGBN Nightsite up, He Started" the Towers need Painted and a lot of Technical Work Needs done, you can't imagine how much it costs, and some advertisers have to be turned away because they go against our mission, Please send your contribution's in." Wasn't the Night Transmitter and site just rebuild a few years ago?
