CORP. and PEMBROOK PINES ELMIRA, LTD. are selling Sports WABH-A (ESPN RADIO 1380) and AC WVIN-F (V98.3)/BATH, NY, Sports WELM-A and Top 40 WLVY (94 ROCK)/ELMIRA, NY, Oldies WEHH-A/ELMIRA HEIGHTS-HORSEHEADS, NY, Country WOKN/SOUTHPORT, NY, and FM translators W230BB/ELMIRA, W273AC and W229AX/CORNING, and W229AR/WAVERLY, NY to JAY RANDALL REID's TITAN RADIO, LLC for $2.75 million plus a time brokerage agreement before closing.
Titan Radio LLC, a newly formed company led by Randy Reid and a group of investors, has closed a deal to purchase Pembrook Pines Media Group.
The sale is pending Federal Communications Commission approval and a local marketing agreement has been signed and will take effect on Oct. 1. Reid, former general manager of WETM-TV in Elmira, now heads the Reid Media Group, also based in Elmira. Pembrook Pines is owned by Robert Pfuntner.
The deal is for the purchase of WLVY-FM (94-Rock), WOKN-FM (OK100), WELM-AM and WEHH-AM in Elmira, NY along with WVIN-FM and WABH-AM in Bath NY. The purchase price was not disclosed.
“Titan Radio looks forward to operating the premiere radio group in the Elmira-Corning market”, Reid said in a statement. “Bob Pfuntner is a local broadcast legend and his support for this community is unmatched. I’m glad he will stay on and consult with us”
Pfuntner said said he is thrilled that the stations are going to a group of local broadcast professionals who know and understand the market. The sale was brokered by Kozacko Media.
