PGA Tour to Air on The Golf Channel in 2007

The first and 2nd rounds of the PGA Tour have traditinally aired on either ESPN or the USA Network. In 2007 The Golf Channel will take over coverage of these first two rounds (except for some of the major tournaments presumably.)
Does this change affect anybody out here?
Do you get the Golf Channel on cable?
In your valued opinion, was this move to TGC a good one?
Does televised golf float your boat?
 
I don't get the Golf Channel because I'd have to pay extra for a sports tier on my cable system. (Verizon)
Personally, it won't matter much to me. I usually only watch the last two rounds of a tournament anyway. I think that's true for most people. If they had been a big ratings draw, you can bet ESPN and USA would have ponied up to keep them.
 
I think that's great that TGC is doing this because they do such a great job covering the majors and covering the golf tours and any golf news that may break via Golf Central. BTW I hope the Women's tour LPGA will get a better TV deal to carry most or all of their events . I think they should sign a deal with USA network to air the LPGA in 07. That would be the best option for them to get a better TV deal than just a bunch of channels like they got now, ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN/ESPN2, and TGC.
 
I don't see why the Golf Channel doesn't air the whole thing.
There is nothing worse than a weekend with two or more channels with golf.
