You, then, have not ever heard of KGO in San Francisco, home of former Philly talkers Ronn Owens (conservative), Gene Burns (Libertarian) and Gil Gross (moderate lib) in a line-up of both conservative and liberal talk on a 50kw blowtorch heard throughout the West.
"Survey proven" with a solid, dominate Arbitron Number One for 28 years straight. Untouchable.

you got:
93.3 WMMR For Modern & Classic Rock
94.1 WYSP For Modern & Classic Rock
102.9 For Classic Rock
104.5 For Modern Rock
as well as the other 2 stations that have good signals in parts of the city (although they are not philly liscensed stations)
105.7 The Hawk (Eastern/NE Ends/Center City Areas)
107.5 Frank-FM (Northern Edge/Center City Areas)
as a whole (not only for the rock) philly is a great market...its come a long way in the last year...this time last year...it almost sucked except for WMMR...MGK has since Improved the music they play...they seem to be going heavier that in the previous years...YSP and MMR are going at it again (as it should be) and we have a Modern Rocker in the mix as well..not to mention the 2 alternatives if none of the others have anything on (1057&1075)
