The next survey period will be for July 2009 which covers the dates Thu. 6/25/09-Wed. 7/22/09 with the 6+ overall publicly released PPM ratings data to be released on Wed. 8/12/09.

Finally, 105.7 The Hawk made it to the ratings in Philly area!

Is it remotely possible that OGL's slight drop can be the direct result of WHAT's small gain...if so what does this mean and will 97.5 pick up on the format....

6.4 to a 6.2....THAT is as slight of a drop as you can get except for another tenth of a point. 'OGL is #2 25-54, so they are pretty happy.

How would WHAT do on another AM frequency, I think it could be possible for them to purchase 1540 and get the night allocation and pattern up and running. 50kw-d-d is great for the format and I am sure the CP of years ago called for 500w-n-d with a full coverage pattern/area of the city limits of Philadelphia with crystal clear reception. If WURD, which was a daytime only station, could of persuaded the FCC to give them a good night signal in the city, I sure hope 1540 can do likewise. The 1540 format could be put on 1340, this should satisfy the few listeners of 1540 during the day.

I love the idea of WHAT purchasing the 1540 frequency. During the day, they put out a great signal. As for nightime, weren't they going to go 24 hours when they were WPGR? They never did, and I don't remember why.

Regarding 97.5, I agree that they won't pick up the format, but they should do something. Their PPM numbers are horrible. It seems like they're finally hiring DJs, besides the morning show. Joey Fortman was on in the afternoon last week. Anyone know if she's there permanently, or was this a tryout? She did middays on BEN-FM for a little while, before Jason Lee, who rumor has it, was also at Now 97.5 last week trying out. I guess Greater Media likes to recycle DJ's. Hey, if 97.5 does pick up WHAT's format, they can always bring back Mike Bowe, right?

The reason PGR never went 24 hours was the 1 kW night signal, which was beaten up by WPTR Albany and KXEL Waterloo IA.
