Piedmont Triad's AM 1300 To Flip To Oldies On April 6

WSYD 1300 will ditch its "pure country" format for oldies, effective Wednesday at 8 AM. Also, they're asking listeners to guess which song will be the first played under the new format.

Exactly. Is this a pirate station? I didn't know 1300 actually did radio programming.

WSYD has been on for ages, but it's not a "Triad station" per se. It's a local station for Mount Airy. Its 5000 watts don't make it to Winston-Salem, even, IIRC.
