I guess we've reached that point in our careers where someone noticed we lasted a lot longer in this business than they thought we would.

The 2009 list of nominees for the Texas Radio Hall of Fame includes:
Bama Brown
The Dudley & Bob Show
...and yours truly Fred Cantu

I've been on Austin TV for nearly 20 years. But my radio credits include news director at KVET/KASE, news anchor and air personality at KLBJ-AM and former morning personality, program director, operations manager, chief engineer, even acting GM in formats that included easy listening, AC, Top 40, country, news/talk, even Spanish language. It's been a helluva ride.

If you're a dues-paying member please vote for us. The deadline is July 18th.
