Mailbag: Radio Station Has Changed For The Worse

What has happened to WPDR? There is not any local news at 7 a.m. when we need it. It seems that in an area as large as WPDR covers, there should be some local news to report. ...

I won't get into any details. But I do not think there is any airstaff at the station period, no production people. basically no one to do any on air work. I think* all the program logs for automation come from corporate and thats it. From what I heard there last remaining on air person who had to do EVERYTHING left. I think there is still a sales manager and a sales person or two left, but not much else for staff. Sorry I can't explain anymore. <P ID="signature">______________

About Those Obits...

It's amazing how people become militant about radio obituaries! Heaven forbid that there should be a day when nobody dies! I've had that happen, and been blasted for not "doing my job"!!

I can see their point, though, at least in Wisconsin: without obituaries on the radio, nobody knows where the free lunch is that day...! (grin)

Ken Clark
