It's the Sea Dogs that move to 95.9/95.5, not the Red Sox. I assume the Sox will stay on 96.3/1440.

Correct, and that's what it says in NERW this week, too. I think sometimes our pal raccoon is rushing so fast to post as much as he does that he not only can't spell out entire words, but doesn't always quote me correctly, either... ;D

(But the place wouldn't be the same without him, would it?)

D'oh, I thought I'd put Red Sox in, changed to Sea Dogs, and saved the correction but guess I didn't (title of post may have been correct though)

And see the thread also on this board about WOXO losing Red Sox rights after 35 yrs...

>>WJJB's 40,000-watt signal and WOXO's 25,000-watt signal overlap, which in the past gave listeners in western Maine at least two choices to tune into the game. Gleason said the stations signals have overlapped for years and said he pointed out to WEEI that Red Sox games are broadcast on overlapping signals throughout New England. "Overlapping signals shouldn't matter, because the contract has always read that you are protected to your city of license," Gleason said, noting WJJB's official city of license is Gray, while WOXO's is Norway. "There are many, many stations all over New England that overlap with one another."

On Boston's North Shore the Sox will continue to be heard on WBOQ 104.9 as well as WEEI-FM 93.7,
whose signals overlap. 93.7 COL Lawrence, 104.9 COL Gloucester
