Post-mortenterviews with Leslie Fram, Steve Craig after WRXP's demise

Do you think there's a place for either person at Dave FM, since that place has effectively become the home to many former 99Xers?

I was wondering why your final question to Ms. Farm - excuse me, Ms. Fram ::) - was, of all questions, "What do you think of Dave FM?"

I get it; I type too fast and don't proofread. So use me! (Damn it.)

Here is my opinion ***looks around corners to see if any "cloud" members are around***

Fram/Craig can come back to Atlanta.
Join the DAVE team
99x can die off or change format or stay where they are (not that they get out that far anyway)
Dave should slowly drive more into the alternative phase vs the Adult Alt they currently remain in.

"But then it would be just another 99x..."

Not exactly... 99x, for a true alternative rock station, has a horrible play list. They only play the top songs from bands and if one band has a number one hit out right now, they (99x) forget about previous songs this same band has played.

Drop the Metallica stuff. Copy cats to Project is how I see that.

94.9 in San Diego would be a perfect station to mirror. They really hit the alternative rock hard, mix in a little new wave and post punk, and they also mix in the indie music made popular but South by Southwest festival in Austin.

That is how 99x use to be but now its just too commercialized.

Here is a playlist from today at 94.9. Notice the station never leaves its listeners for long as they play plenty of modern rock "hits" but occasionally they sneak in some of the b-sides and songs that were radio played 10 yrs ago but you never hear again.

Just an idea...

That's my boy Garett Michaels programming 94/9. GREAT station!

Steve will be co-hosting Dave After Tomorrow on Tuesday evening with DAVE-FM APD/MD Margot Chobanian.

I still think Fram will stay in NYC but Steve Craig will be back here. I can see him doing weekends and fill-ins at DAVE.
