I'd argue that "Kush" sounds exactly like a number of songs off of "Dre 2001" and thats why its mostly receiving airplay on the West Coast. The rest of the hip hop world has evolved and Dr Dre now seems late to the party. He's far from a sell out.
Now if Ice Cube was to star in one more family friendly movie...perhaps that could be called selling out...
I have enough old Power 106 to my collection.KPWRAIRCHECKS,Why dont you upload your collection on youtube so all of us can enjoy the early days of Power 106.I tape traded in the past and got screwed.Ill put more of them on Youtube.KPWRairchecks said:If you love the station so much, you should do a tape trade and add more old Power 106 to your collection. I don't understand why you're so against it. It's a very simple process.
KPWR airchecks,,,why dont you post them on youtube?our friend BOOMER Servantes gets a kick out of it..I learned not to be selfish with old stuff that people long to hear..KPWRairchecks said:Sorry you've been screwed before. I've traded with many aircheck collectors over the years and always make a point to ensure that the other trader's happy with what they get. I would like to add a few more tapes to my collection...and you have them. You won't get screwed over. Your call. Either way, I'll stop asking.

Otherwise KMEL would have been long gone in the SF Bay Area. Anybody can say why Power 106 is way it is with the demographics, which I understand better than most since I work with statistics and demographics daily, but LA could support an urban-leaning rhythmic crossover like WZMX in Hartford.
