Power 92, B96, 103.5 KISS FM, & 107-5 WGCI

Which station do you like best? Which one don't you like? Here's my opinion: GCI sounds pretty good, and I haven't really listened to Power as much. 103.5 KISS FM is great, good jocks, nice morning show. B96 is great too, great jocks, good morning show, and awesome mixes (The Street Mix is AWESOME).

103.5 KISS FM's mixes are okay, but they were awesome last night @ 1 AM.

1. B 96. J-Niice and Julian along with Shobiz Shelly are hilarious in the mornings. The noon Ka-Boom old school mixes (nuff said!) and their Street Mix on the weekends.

2. Kiss FM. Default #2. Nothing great but nothing bad= nothing special. Your average Top 40 station that ignores many of the non-rhythmic hits that make the Top 40 choosing to air a 3-6 Mafia/DJ Tiesto song before a song like Daughtry, Uncle Kracker, Nickelback, Train, or John Mayer that are currently in or cracking the Top 40.

Plus I stopped listening to Drexx after B 96 started their morning show. Only so much of "doosin it" and related sexual discussion til it gets old in the mornings.

3. WGCI. Blah blah blah. They have not been inventive there IMO since the late 90s. No wonder why their ratings under the new system are better reflecting their audience. GCI is a only "flip to hear a song or two" then flip to another station for me.

4. Power. What happened to you? You sounded so good not too long ago. So Urban. So Chicago. Should have kept house mixes to keep yourself different from GCI. I feel like the little I do listen to them they are suffering from an identity crisis.

I stopped listening to B96 and KissFm.
I'm not a ditzy blonde female, and I'm not interested in the repeat pop period. Not sure why they are still in my presets. (1. WPWX 2. WSRB 3. WGCI 4. B96 5. WVAZ 6. Kiss)

Mainly I'm on Power and 106.3 then flip to WGCI and V103 to see what's on.

A true hip hop head can tell theres a big diffrence between Power and WGCI, they are not the same finally I feel Power is not trying to clone WGCI as I said they were tryin all these years.

Although I'm unhappy of a few things on Power, nothings perfect. The WGCI morning show is killing Tre. Tre hasn't been good since Kendra G left period. Alot of dead air waiting for a "response" from Tre's staff, and he barely gets anything. It's snoozy. More music in the morning has never worked on any station. Programmers think that seems to work. Trey needs to start talking at 5am. Doesn't the morning show start at 5am and not 530???? Coulda fooled me because they crack the mic for the first time at 535....... WGCi gets the talking rolling asap in the AM and its non stop interaction between the host and support staff.

I prefer 106.3 over V103 because 106.3 still tends to have the "groove" feel to it, many uptempo tracks and more modern RnB from the 90s.

WGCI middays and nights are lame. Liner jocks. No creativity, I prefer Power all the way. I haven't listened to WGCi afternoons. But I'm into Michael Baisden afternoons. If Michael wasn't on then I'd listen to Donnie Devoe if he was full time somewhere.
