Power increase at 220 feet coming for 88.7 (WEHA also on translator 99.9 FM)

When is this power increase and tower transformation suppose to happen....I know that the previous owner wanted to do this ,but didnt have the moola to do it.....but even if WEHA goes up to 1,000 watts will it be able to stop the overide from Harrington with 25,000 watts??>?
 
AH finally a different format....thank you mr Hawkes....some great gospel music.....cant wait until the power increase
 
We are all waiting patently for the OK from the Commission to go ahead and install the new antenna on the new tower. It's just a matter of time.

I will tell that you like the format.
 
Any word yet on when the power increase will take effect...getting a lot of interference from the delaware station...thanks....
 
Well,the station is much louder and clearer....but still having a lot of interference from 88.7 THE BRIDGE, a 50,000 watter in Delaware...what idiot at the FCC gave 88.7 in Delaware a 50,000 watt transmitter to block out WEHA in NJ ????
 
What idiot at the FCC gave 88.7 in New Gretna an 800 watt transmitter to block out WBZC in southeast Burlington county?

88.7 The Bridge is not supposed to interfere with WEHA on paper, but in the summer months there's tropo very often.
 
If the FCC worried about interference from abnormal band conditions, there
would only be one station per frequency across the whole country.
WBZC has no right to the area WEHA covers. Look at the maps.
 
Z88.9's protected contour doesn't reach WEHA's coverage area, but they are listenable on the Parkway where it meets the AC Expressway. If WEHA were a translator WBZC would most likely get it shut down due to interference.
 
Well the tower on the Garden State Parkway is litterally on lane from Pinlands Preservation Act. This was only place left for me to put 88-7.

We shall see what the new signal does in September when allot of the tropo is gone.

I dont see why the BRIDGE 88.7 Delaware was given an ok for 25,000 watts ...the fcc had to know that this would interfere with WEHA at only 800 watts..You dont have to be a college professor to see that WEHA is getting a raw deal.....The BRIDGES power should be reduced...there is no need for the Bridge to broadcast into NJ...especially as far as Atlantic City...I actually sat outside of WEHAs studio in EHT and the Bridge was blocking out WEHA.....WEHA should file a complaint with the fcc against The BRIDGE and have their power reduced...how can WEHA exist being blocked out on their own territory...seems like the bridge must have a lot of pull with somebody to get 25,000 watts at the 88.7 position... :mad:
 
Seems to me that WEHA's bigger problem is trying to target Atlantic City from a short tower out in New Gretna while protecting Atlantic City's own WAJM which is a first-adjacent.
