"Power outage" takes KTVU off air for hours Monday morning

It began a little before 5am and lasted until 9. Not sure why they were off, but PG&E, the local electric company, said it was unrelated to any of its equipment and there weren't any outages in the area. It's hard to believe there's no generator at the studios.

If PG&E didn't have an outage, the genny wouldn't have done any good. If there was a power outage inside the building, it could have been the failure of a breaker or a UPS that disabled some key part of their studio.
