Anyone else read about this?
I'm probably in the minority but, I think Kiss 108 overreacted?
What should they have done instead (IMO)?
How about talk to her off the air and find out what's up!

Tried to get on their site to find out more but kiss108.com crashed.
Sounds like CC is not paying their internet bill. Cheap bastards.

Finally got on Kiss site and heard the whole thing.Matty sounds like he's auditioning for a talk radio job. Pompous bag.

In a nutshell...a woman called on Tuesday morning saying she was in labor on the way to the hospital and she couldn't find her husband. Then, she started having (faking) contractions and after a 20 minute call - all of which was on the air - in which she described her self as being in Weymouth, the call was cut off. KISS called 911 and reported the incident because she said was pulling off to the side of the road.

Well, the WPD sent cars and an ambulance out looking for her. Callers reported seeing them zip up and down whatever route she claimed to have been on...so it was taken seriously by the authorities.

As it turns out, she called in on Thursday and confessed the whole thing as being a joke a friend PAID her to do as payback for them pulling a nutcracker on him/her. The irony is, MIX does the Nutcracker bit, not KISS.

When I heard it, I thought it was a staged bit...until the cops got involved. In this day and age, you don't even kid that you called 911, let alone do it, for entertainment value. And I think Matty is much too smart for that.

Fox 25 had a piece on the call on Tuesday Night's 10PM newscast (don't think less of me if I admit I saw the tease during American Idol).
 
i still think it was staged...ratings go down a bit...gets his name in the news...matty is a big wig around town.....maybe, but probably not

I see where you're going with this. I dont think it was staged but Kiss people sure got mileage out of it. They only contacted Fox25 w/the story which just happened to be the lead right after the biggest show on TV(American Idol). Fox25 news at 10pm beats all other local newscasts so Kiss got a big bang for their buck.
 
Lander must matter enough if someone supposedly paid this woman $500 to get revenge on him. But she foiled it.
 
Keep up Garrett. It was a joke that was intended to be played on Lander but the woman called the wrong station!
