San Diego's own ABC affiliate, KGTV Channel 10, has always had an amateurish look...their reporters are often second-tier, and despite trying to keep a very updated look with relatively nice sets (the current one is BEAUTIFUL), they always come off as an amateurish college TV station. But I think there is going to be nothing more classic on the latest screwup tonight when the local anchors leading off into President Bush's address to the nation tonight...which was really a rehearsal of his speech, and then suddenly dumping into ABC News with Elizabeth Vargas about four sentences from the top of the network feed from ABC.What I think happened is that they were tapping in CNN (which they affiliate with), didn't realize it until the very last minute when President Bush ended the rehearsal....looked out into space to the floor director...KGTV's new general manager is obviously trying to revive the spirit of the station when it was under a popular station manager (two managers ago) with editorials using the phrase, "That's our opinion...but what's yours"...but he himself comes off as the classic editorial skits Johnny Carson did with terrible speech, delayed hand gestures, etc.
