Julius, I have been reading this board for a long while and I have noticed two things about your posts

1-You are not a happy person. If you can't discuss in the negative you are not going to post

2-You are oblivious to the distate other posters have for you.

Paul: Adam's opinion is a good one. You were right in the sense that there is nothing unhappy with Mr. May's original post. However, Adam is giving an overall opinion of 99% of Mr. May's posts, comments, etc. They are all the same: links to every article he can find, spamming and plagarism (which is against the rules around here, but the rules are never enforced against Person in question), obsessions with topics that nobody else cares about, complaining about every station known to Man, lousy communication skills, the list goes on. You should understand this by now.

Thanks for all you agree with me or understand where I am coming from.

I mean no disrect to Julius, but I do not think he understands how he is thought of. I did not want to rip the guy blatantly, I was hoping my message would be blunt but not hurtful.

I have been a lurker (and occasional poster) on many a boards in the past 12 years or so, and I have noticed that people like Julius (young, sheltered and naive) often ruin or distrubt what is normally a nice board.

This board and others that I see Julius on, could turn hostile. I don't want that to happen and I would assume most of you don't either.

Thats my thoughts...now back to complaining about Salsa 104.5 or whatever CC is going to run on a nickel. Oy.

Adam: I completely understand where you are coming from. The reason the threads Person In Question participates in can turn hostile is very simple. Folks like me are getting sick and tired of him. The only difference between myself and others is that I've been sick of him for years. Others have contributed their impatience with Julius in the recent past...and Julius still doesn't get it...and never will. He has promised to change his ways, but he won't. He thinks that everyone is supposed to agree with him on every silly topic he contributes...while in reality, he's the ONLY one who cares. It's that simple. I'm sure people are getting sick and tired of me too, but I really don't care. At least, what I post is worthy. I would get ripped a new asshole if I started these silly ramblings about ESPN Radio, Penn Quakers football play-by-play, and spamming messages about an internet radio program.

Most of your posts are ripping Julius, which last time I checked, isn't what this forum is about. But, while you're on the subject, I hope you feel like a big man picking on a mentally retarded person. He doesn't have the same mental faculties that you and I have. He posts topics over and over again because he doesn't remember that he did it before. If he does remember posting it before, he might not remember what people's answers were and he wants to get the answers again. Is this an ideal situation for a message board? Probably not. Nobody ever said Julius was retarded, mentally handicapped, or whatever Politically Correct statement you want to use. The only thing Julius admitted is that he is "homebound." That doesn't mean he suffers from a mental handicap. Julius does remember that he posts the same things over and over. He's been told by other people to re-read what he posts and our responses. In the ESPN Radio Nine-Page thread, He had the capibility to re-post the question about his demand to get Sports on 104.5, but he doesn't have the mental capibility to read the responses he was given after the original post? Come on. That doesn't make sense to me. I think Julius' mental state is just fine. He simply has nothing else to do with his time, which is understandable, since he's allegedly "homebound."

I respect Julius' love for radio and television...and I have said that publicly in the past. I will do what I can to help those who are interested in the business. However, I get more out of talking to a brick wall than helping Julius. It's a lost cause. If you want to egg him on, that's fine. However, can you keep it over on your own board?

Do you know what mentally retarded means??? No, Julius does not have the mental capacity to remember some things, or understand what some responses to his posts mean. If you don't understand that, there's not much I can do for you.

I don't have "a board". Gary (aka Surf) offered to host some forums for the Radio Racket, and we graciously accepted the offer.

As for "Booker being pissed" that was before they hired Roth. Booker had the afternoon drive and was well liked at K-Rock. Now as for him doing well in Philly. This is from The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Word is that Booker was upset at the volume of the hip-hop from sister station Power 99 that could be heard in the hallway. Booker, who is white, intimated on the air that he was uncomfortable walking over to ask the Power crew to turn it down - suggesting that sidekick Diego go in because "you're Spanish." The station, meanwhile, is looking for a female sidekick to replace Lisa Paige, who's gone back to middays.


Ok now on to O & A. The real question here is what they paid them to come to 92.3 and what it will cost in the future. They are doing free ads for XM each and everyday. Last book did not look like they did much for the station. up .1 to 1.5 and this is a station that was doing 5+ with Stern all the time and even higher at times. I understand that people know O & A in the NY area, but many of those that follow listen to them on XM. I see it all the time, and they are pissed about it. I can understand that they have a bigger splash, but if I owed the station I would be looking for the future. So I look at The Doghouse who happen to be #1 in SF for 10 years, have a major following in SF( which also happens to be the #4 Market in the country) and I might take the chance. Please don't get me wrong I know what you are saying about proven, but #1 in the #4 market for 10 years. I am not 100% sure, but I don't think O & A have ever been #1 in any market( but I might be wrong). All the best
