q-104.3 off air from 1:15Am - 1:45 Am what the hell Happened?

Been Listening for like 10 min now at 1:42 AM By luck I am home from VT until 6am... transmitter is Hot But the stations dead....
what the Hell! Never heard of this for the #1 market!
Looks like its been out since about 1:15 AM
any Ideas?

Came back at 1:44 AM sounded like a Pre-recored Dj announcing the Last songs played... and said the wrong one too! Umm Like how can you do that if there was DEAD AIR for awhile????

Get used it!

Aside from the fact that Q104.3 just moved and they're having infant mortality problems, the fact of the matter is, for the last 20 years, radio stations in the #1 market have been slowly and methodically putting its seasoned engineers out to pasture and hiring IT kids for minimum wage in their place.

The incidence of these sorts of things happening will continue to increase until somebody, somewhere, wakes up and realizes that there is more to providing support for on-air operations than simply plugging in a computer and relying on software.
 
And in the middle of a major studio move from Midtown to lower Manhattan...I'd cut them a little bit of a break for half an hour overnight. It's a huge project they're in the middle of right now.

Recently, at least when I've been listening in the 5 am hour, it was "Big E" (aka station PD Eric Wellman) behind the automated microphone and seamlessly handing it off to Shelli Sonstein at 5:25 AM.
 
i highly doubt that Big E is live from 1 - 5:30 especially since he is always mentioned in the afternoon as being in the studio with Maria. But I have to admit that their transitions have been seemless, and if u didnt know any better u would belive that he is live. I have to give them credit, it sounds really good. But the conversations they usually have are generic and big e never answers any questions from sheli, only vice versa.
