Q102's New Morning Show To Be Announced Today...

Uhhh, Mike, Elvis Duran's Morning Zoo Show isn't a nationwide show. It's currently serving 2 markets- NYC Metro (where it originates) and Miami-Dade in South Florida. I see this is as a smart move for people who live in Central/South Jersey were Z-100's signal is spotty due to 100.3 in Philly and vice versa where 102.1 doesn't come in.

Isn't Elvis piped in on Max 106.3 in Jersey? For people who commute the long way into NYC?

WTF is Diego gonna do.
They say he'll "join" Elvis in the morning. As a board op in Phila? Will he actually be on with Elvis or doing weather and maybe local news durring the show.
Diego has been there for EVER.
What a sad day in radio to see all those years of loyality and dedication go down the drain.

In this day of cheap radio, how do they pay 12 people to be on that show?
 
They don't. That's why it's not the "Zoo" any longer. Diego will talk back to voice tracks.

Hahaha exactly what I thought when I was redirected to elvisinphilly.com and saw all the people. And notice what they're calling the show? "Elvis Duran and the Q102 Morning Show". Perhaps why they dropped "morning zoo" from the show's title a bit ago.
 
Ooops, nevermind. Just checked Wikipedia and answered my own question :)
 
I've been listening to them for awhile and I think this show will take off in a couple of months....From what I hear, Diego will have a board op so he can go out and do wacky stunts in philly....they will prolly come down isdn or somthin like a live remote

I wonder if these will replace the foibles of "Greg T. the Frat Boy" in New York and Miami - does Miami have their own stunt boy?

This will be like the weather breaks during "Good Morning America". The national program throws it to the local tool.

Because cheap radio is a perception advanced by those on the wrong side of the budgets.

Miami doesn't have their own stunt boy. On occasion, Greg T. will fly down to Miami, hang at the Y100 studio in Miramar and then make appearances outside Wal-Mart parking lots or something.
 
This makes me sick.In the world of radio its all about saving money. I didn't like the Booker show but it had a great book and they fire him....for a New York show..to save money....but wait lets hold on to Diego that will show we are loyal to our Philly fans. Q you truely suck.
