Q99 KLBQ in El Dorado now a country station!!!!!

They had been Hot Ac for about 30 years. So now the cash cow KIX103 has some competition. The other noalmark stations are trerrible so this should be a fun battle to watch. Wildcat football and country now for KLBQ, wow!

Wonder what took them so long.........I'll be watching closely. Did mornings there in the Early 80's..

Interesting...and sad. It was a great format for that station at one time. Are they changing the call letters?

Remember that it was a country station before Lowery Broadcasting changed the call letter from KRIL (K-Ril Country day time / Rock 99 after sunset when KDMS signed off) to KLBQ (Q-99 full time top 40).

If I remember right that was not long after Noalmark took KEZU from easy listening to KAYZ and the country format. Now we have come full circle and it's back to country.

Is KDMS still on the air and if so what format are they?

Geee...

That is just what Arkansas needs, another COUNTRY station!!!!

I am still trying to figure out this country/classic rock format thing.....

Most people that listen to classic rock wouldn't be caught DEAD listening to country...
