QRP 160 meter and 600 meter band transmitters ("Gizmo" and "Metzo")
Hello All,There are two nice little QRP transmitters available http://www.vcomp.co.uk that can operate on both the 160 meter band and the new 600 meter band at 495 kHz - 510 kHz http://500kc.com .The Vintage Components "Gizmo" and "Metzo" PLL-tuned AM phone transmitters can both operate over a wide frequency range of 500 kHz - 1800 kHz. The Gizmo is a more basic unit while the Metzo has features such as a built-in audio compressor/limiter, ATU, and marker tone generator. Both transmitters have an RF output power of 100 milliwatts. They can be used either alone as QRP units or as exciters to drive linear amplifiers. They can operate on battery power, and they are also available with US (120 volts AC) or European (240 volts AC) power supplies.I hope this information will be helpful. -- Jason
