Quick aircheck of WWXM from early 1994 for your listening pleasure.

Well, it's not really an aircheck of the station, it's actually a montage of some of the Thompson Creative jingles and a sweeper or two. It's from the station first or second month on the air, listen at your own risk:

You know Robyn, if you want, I could talk to John Kilgo about letting me send you some of the airchecks he has from when we were at 'KZQ and when he programmed Power. He's got some great airchecks from waaaaaay back to the present (also, great vintage airchecks from when his dad worked at WAYS in Charlotte). Plus, he's got a cool "outtakes" aircheck from 'KZQ that he lifted from a production room reel that is hilarious.

Scott, I'd love that thank you! I'm interested in preserving some of the great stations that we once had here in the Carolinas.

Steve West has my entire aircheck collection and he's just starting to scratch the surface of what I've contributed. I did offer the collection to Realradio, but the site's owner Richard Irwin didn't seamed interested at the time (It was virtually 80s/90s CHR from all over the country).

Oh, I remember Darryl Fox when she was at WANS (before the station folded). Wonder whatever happened to her?

I heard from Darryl Fox (Temple Lundy) a year or two ago, she was doing full time Promotions for a Clear Channel Station in Tennessee. Sorry, that's all the info I can remember, I have since lost her e-mail. We worked together at Wave 104.
