Rachel Maddow Show is coming to Madison - October 19 at Barrymore Theatre.

Lee announced it this mornings and it's true... The Rachel Maddow Show is coming to Madison! Mark your calendar for the Dr. Maddow Cocktail Clinic on October 19th.

Fans of Rachel know that she has a PhD in Political Science and another in Mixology. Following her 5p-7p broadcast from the Barrymore Theatre on October 19th, Dr. Maddow will be sharing a few choice recipes with us during a post show reception.

Keep listening to The Mic 92.1 for more details on when and where to get tickets. We'll be making announcements in the days and weeks to come.

Media musings: Radio host finds right mix for political talk

The Capital Times

Rachel Maddow has this little sound bite she likes to play on her radio show.

"Has anybody ever heard of Rachel Maddow?" asks a familiar unctuous voice, clearly perturbed at someone who dared question him.

Unfortunately for Rush Limbaugh, lots of people have heard of Rachel Maddow, and the number is growing. The radio host has settled into the Air America evening drive-time slot and has become a familiar face on talk TV.

She'll be in Madison this week as 92.1 FM/The Mic brings her in for a live broadcast of "The Rachel Maddow Show" at the Barrymore Theatre on Friday.

Good Morning Open Mic Clubbers

It was great seeing so many of you at Rachel Maddow ticket stops the last two weeks. Today is the big day. Dr. Maddow's Cocktail clinic is tonight at the Barrymore Theatre. Thanks to our title sponsor Glass Nickel Pizza Company.

While we're addressing some last minute travel SNAFU's on this end, here's what you should know on your end.

-Brian

DR MADDOW'S COCKTAIL CLINIC

-Door open at 3:30 for ticket holders.

-If you don't have a ticket, stop by the Barrymore Theatre after 4:30 today. There will be general admission for open seats. Tickets are free but we still suggest you drop in a $5 donation for Community Action Coalition.

-This is an all ages show, but Dr. Maddow has some great cocktail recipes for people 21+. Enjoy the evening responsibly and please plan to take the bus, a cab, or ride home with a sober driver.
