Radio Classics 118 after Media Bay ("Radio Spirits") closes shop in September?

Radio Classics 118 after Media Bay ("Radio Spirits") closes shop in September?

Apparently Media Bay (parent of "Radio Spirits") is closing shop in September due to financial issues. Will Sirius continue with Radio Classics 118? I personally hope so as it is one of main reasons why I subscribe to Sirius Radio in the first place. I'm hoping Sirius will continue with the Old Time Radio on it's own. It truly is a special part of Americana. Any thoughts or info?

I seriously doubt that it will continue. Sirius was only carrying it because it was paid for. But like you, I hope that they can find a way to continue it. MediaBay/Radio Spirits is a victim of the internet. Free downloadable otr can be had on several different sites and others who ask you to pay for it are quite reasonable about their rates(in other words much cheaper than buying collections from Radio Spirits)

Apparently Radio Classics 118 IS still going strong. In fact, it is now complete with intros and outros from an new unnamed announcer who really adds a lot of fun into the presentation. It's really good to know that our beloved OTR still has a home on Sirius 118. I'm hooked!
