Radio Free Nashville on WBUZ's FMeXtra channel

Starting Feb. 1, Radio Free Nashville, 98.9 WRFN-LP, will be available on 102.9 WBUZ "The Buzz"'s FMeXtra stream.

This will more than quadruple WRFN's coverage in the Nashville area. Preliminary tests show successful reception of the FMeXtra stream in downtown Nashville, Murfreesboro and surrounding areas.

More information will soon be posted on 'RFN's website (http://www.radiofreenashville.org).

Granted, FMeXtra receivers are not readily available like HD Radio receivers are, but hopefully this will be a start to expanding 'RFN's coverage beyond it's signal in West Nashville/Pasquo/Pegram/Belle Meade.

I live out here in Pegram, and I can barely pick them up myself. Someone on here (I believe it was Scott) said that Ford car radios are better than GM radios. That might explain why I could pick them up on my dad's Ranger truck while out here in Pegram, but not on my Lumina. My stereo system here at home isn't much better. Maybe I need an outdoor antenna. It's on my wish list.
