Radio-info reports: Cumulus VP of prog Jan Jeffries moves to Chi from Atl

This from radio-info news:

Cumulus Senior VP of Programming Jan Jeffries to relocate from Atlanta to Chicago.
A surprising move for a company that's pretty centralized, but one that may’ve been made possible by the recent hiring of Mike McVay. Mike's moving from Cleveland to Atlanta to become the company’s other Senior VP of Programming, now that it's expanded by adding the Citadel stations. Robert Feder of Time Out Chicago reports the relocation by Jan Jeffries, who once programmed in Chicago at “G106” WAGO (later WCKG, "Fresh" and now the FM simulcast of WBBM-AM) and WLS-FM (94.7). Feder says “longtime staffers greeted Jeffries this week as he moved into his new digs at WLS headquarters.” At last week's RAB/NAB Radio Show, Lew Dickey described how the cloud-based Cumulus internal systems make it possible to do business almost anywhere.

One can only wonder if this move had anything to do with the recent downward trends of
WKHX, WNNX and WYAY. WWWQ is really the only steady station they have at the moment.

How is Jan Jeffries resposible for WKHX and WYAY being down?

Jan has said to me on a couple of occasions (back when I worked for Cumulus, before they showed me the door) that he really prefers Chicago to Atlanta, and he has, I believe, had a residence there for a number of years.

Jan has been very loyal to Lew and never sat still in a corporate office. As he spent a lot of time at stations needing help, he was an easy target to blame if things weren't immediately repaired. I don't know how he or anyone could handle that load..it seemed impossible and unfair. And in some cases he had to pick up were non assertive pd's didn't step up.
I'll be curious to see how Mike McVey works this system and how it's divided up. Any ideas?
