Rank the Major cable/broadcast companies best to worst in your opinion.

The major cable/broadcast companies exclude online only companies like Netflix, but you can factor in their streaming services. The companies are:

WarnerMedia (TBS, TNT, CNN, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, HBO, HBO Max) (Probably #1 for me)
NBC Universal-Comcast (NBC, USA, MSNBC, SyFy, E!) (#4)
Disney (ABC, FX, Freeform, Hulu, Disney Plus, National Geographic) (#2)
Viacom CBS (CBS, Comedy Central, Showtime, Paramount Network, Paramount Plus, VH1, MTV) (#3)
Discovery (Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, HGTV) (#7)
AMC Networks (AMC, Sundance Channel, IFC) (#5)
Fox Broadcasting (Fox, Fox News) (#6)

Netflix and similar services like Disney+, Prime Video, etc. are neither broadcasters nor cable channels. They distribute on subscription using direct Internet connections and offer content on demand.

All the ones you name are cable channels except Paramount+, Disney+ and HBO Max, which fall in the Interrnet distributed services.

You are mixing two separate systems or platforms. The "cable channels" are scheduled, while the web based ones are generally "on demand" meaning you schedule your own programs when you want them.

I include them under their umbrella because the companies listed own and operate TV broadcast networks, cable networks, and streaming services. For example ViacomCBS owns networks like Comedy Central, CBS, and Showtime, but also their own streaming service Paramount Plus (and the Showtime streaming service). I just went ahead and listed some of the streaming "on-demand" services they own, just in case someone needs to know that info for their rankings.
