David, keep in mind that "Scooter" was fired/not renewed from his radio gig almost 30 years ago and judging from his diatribes on how late 1970's/mid 1980's rock acts are somehow relevant in 2014 has probably ceased to have a grip on reality long before then.
Well,...I can only say that I find it quite amusing. We had all these alleged Know-it-alls about Programming, Music, and just Radio, in general: TheBigA, JeffM, Freqdev, Mr. Ed, Dudefan.....they all would not even attempt to answer my simple question. The correct order was "My Sharona", "Let's Go", and then "One Way Or Another". None of them brave enough to even try. Regarding 80"s music, none of them smart enough to know that they all three were from 1979. All of them making light of The Knack, when their hit stayed at #1 for 6-weeks; quite impressive. I gave anyone a chance to try, and didn't think, for one minute, that it would stump the panel of posters herein. So, I proved my point, regarding their competence.....just pitiful! Readers, I'm done here. Topic closed.

But chart positions way back when have no relevance to whether a song is playable today.
We wouldn't be listening for them. We'd be listening for HIM.++1
