Can anyone tell me if the photo of my grandfather is in it? A largeish man in a suit reading copy into a W1XBS flagged microphone?

W1XBS was the experimental prototype for the now defunct WBRY/WTBY/WQQW in Waterbury. This book focuses on Hartford radio and does a fine job at that. There are a couple of pictures of WPAJ/WDRC from their New Haven years in the 1920s, but the story of WDRC is basically one of a Hartford-based station.

Yes, with the exception of WDRC's early New Haven operation (historically significant because it was the state's first station and moved to Htfd early on) only Hartford area stations are in the book. This includes WPRX (WBIS), WCCC AM/FM, WMRD (WCNX), WDRC AM/FM, WERB, WESU, WSDK (WEXT), WFCS, WJMJ, WHCN, WHUS, WRYM (WKNB), WKSS, WRCH, WRCQ, WRTC, WTHT, WTIC AM/FM AND WZMX (WLVH).
