iHeartMedia has named DJ Amen as the new Music Director for REAL 92.3, LA's New Home for Hip Hop, effective immediately. He will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the station's music programming and musical decisions and report to Doc Wynter, Executive Vice President of Hip Hop Programming Strategy for iHeartMedia and Program Director for REAL 92.3.
DJ Amen has become one of the most respected and influential DJs hailing from the West Coast over the last decade. He began working for iHeartMedia in 2006 on the turntables for the legendary 106 KMEL in San Francisco. In 2015, he joined REAL 92.3 as a DJ, mixing daily for the newly launched Hip Hop station and in 2016, contributed to the launch of REAL 92.3's top-rated show, "Young California Radio."
