He died on Sunday so which would be yesterday, his mom confirmed the news in a statement. Recess ran from 1997-2001, he also voiced Mikey in the movie Recess: School's Out that was released in 2001 the same year it ended on the Disney channel. Besides him Mom he is also survived by father Nebil Zarif; two brothers, Alexander and Brandon; and two half-sisters, Mariella and Isabella Rickel, from his mother’s second marriage. He was born on October 14th, 1984.

It is always sad when anybody dies at a young age, I guess in less you didn't like that person, but really nobody can even control what age they are when they die. That is in less they committed suicide, but as of right now the cause of death is not known, and I don't see anything about an autopsy.

He died of a drug overdose.
Did they announce that today, it can also not be a surprise as it seems like, that there are some child actors (not all) that seems to somehow get involved with drugs, or become troubled as an adult, that can cut their lives short and way too soon.
NIt really a good source, I looked earlier this morning at his page at imdb.com, and nothing had been updated for the cause of death.
