Only 3 channels in 1990. That puts them right up there with Albany, Ga.

Hmm. True, there wasn't much choice, but from what little Spanish I understand, the programming seemed to be heavy on news and cultural programming, which seems infinitely better than the endless telenovelas (terrible but terribly successful soap operas) that are a staple of Latin American television.
