Of the 16 Desilu Workshop actors featured in the Christmas Night 1959 "Desilu Playhouse" series, only two really achieved any sort of fame: Dick Kallman had a couple of TV series in the 1960's and enjoyed a brief period of popularity; while Majel Barrett went on to achieve stardom for the rest of her life after playing Nurse Christine Chapel in the original "Star Trek". Barrett also voiced the computer in all of the "Trek" series through "Star Trek Enterprise". Barrett later married "Trek" creator/executive producer Gene Roddenberry (I believe they met when filming the first "Star Trek" pilot; in that one, she played a second-in-command known only as "Number One").
