Speaking of WHIZ, I've always had the feeling they were not a top-of-the-line news department, with not-up-to-standard production values, at least up until the DTV conversion. Am I wrong on this? If not, how does this small-market operation stack up to other similar markets? WTAP in Parkersburg has vastly improved since the 1980s, and WOAY in Oak Hill-Beckley, WV allegedly is running news in HD and seemingly has much better production since becoming Channel 50.
