Disclaimer: Many of the programs listed as airing on KFOR, KOKH, KOCO and KWTV on May 4 were pre-empted due to extended severe weather coverage. The stations ran wall-to-wall coverage of the aftermath of the 1999 Oklahoma tornado outbreak (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1999_Oklahoma_tornado_outbreak), which produced 66 twisters across Oklahoma and southern Kansas on May 3; the most notable was the destructive F5 that hit tracked from Amber to Midwest City, and devastated much of the city of Moore, killing 36 along its path (44 people died in the outbreak overall) and caused $1.1 billion in damage. Coverage of the outbreak event, which aired virtually non-stop from the time the first tornadoes touched down in southwestern Oklahoma around 4:00 p.m. on May 3, continued to air on the aforementioned OKC stations until about 7:00 p.m. on May 4.
