Retro Local News Clips - WJW Newscenter 8 at 6:00 and CBS Evening News 7/21/1987

Found this on a VHS tape I bought at a garage sale a few months ago. Most of the newscast was taped over with the pilot episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation (note the WUAB Star Movie graphic at the start of the first video), so I only have the last ten minutes or so of the local newscast, but I also have the first ten minutes or so of the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather.

John Telich filled in for the late Casey Coleman on this particular evening, and the Sports Extra segment contains a package by Dan Coughlin, who is still on Fox 8 today, much like Telich.

Geez, can we get a Cleveland TV board up and running for this stuff? TV isn't radio.

I dont know why people have problems discussing TV on here..We discuss Ramona and Robin enough, to TV should be fair game..Besides, until the 92.3 and 107.3 flips, there was almost no radio news around here at all, other than AM 900/1520 speculation and the Denny/Marge Hazen Radio stations, which might not be talked about at all if I didnt bring it up..

That said, I'd love to have a Cleveland TV Board..
