Interesting that there was more U.S. English network programming on cable in Mexico City back then than there is today. Cablevision in Mexico City has a number of channels that show some English shows with Spanish subtitles, such as WB TV and Sony, but otherwise it's almost all Spanish nowadays. The American Network, which showed a mix of CBS and ABC network shows as recently as 2009, doesn't even exist anymore. You can get CNN International on some cable systems in Mexico, but aside from Piers Morgan Tonight (which is shown at an earlier time to make it air in the evening in his native England) and Fareed Zakaria GPS, there isn't much else in common with the American CNN.

I can't speak for Mexico's satellite services as I've never used them.
