Retro: New Orleans and Mississippi Sunday, June 3, 1956

I had a request for New Orleans schedules for this date.
As there was only one station in the Big Easy at the
time (WDSU/6, WWL/4 didn't sign on until '57), and
because my source, the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, listed
Jackson, Meridian, and Memphis stations, I'm going to
post all six (count 'em!) stations listed in the paper
that day.

Actually, they had two station; WJMR (now WVUE) started in 1953 as a CBS/ABC station until WWL took the former network when they signed on in '57.

And until WLOX came on board in 1962, people on the Mississippi coast had trouble getting clear signals from those three N.O. stations.

I didn't make this request but since you've posted this, can you post schedules from the early 1970's to the mid 1980s, just like this but from the years I described, please thanks. Of course, you don't have to post this al in one thread. Thanks.
