CJSS-TV was in fact the correct callsign for the Cornwall transmitter at that time. I have seen government broadcast records indicating CJSS-TV still assigned to Cornwall in 1967.

I have no idea if CJOH-TV-1 was ever used as a callsign, or if CJSS-TV went straight to CJOH-TV-8.

WPTZ 5-NBC/ABC Plattsburgh

9:30 That Was the Week That Was (c)
...TW3 was canceled by NBC a couple of months after this. NBC had decided to move TW3 from Fridays at 9:30/8:30C to Tuesdays at the same time; one story has Jack Paar instigating the move because of the feud, mock or otherwise, he had with this show. On one occasion, TW3 announcer Dick Noel jokingly "signed off" the NBC-TV Network until the following morning, with The Jack Paar Program and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson still to air that Friday night before the network actually did shut down until Saturday morning. In response, Paar would ridicule TW3 as being (frequent guest) "Henry Morgan's Amateur Hour." Immediately after TW3 moved to Tuesdays, however, another frequent target, Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater, had his Presidential campaign buy that very half-hour of time over NBC almost every week until Election Night! This led to TW3's audience evaporating, from which it never recovered. However, the Canadian version of the show, CBC's This Week has Seven Days (which featured future Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau as a contributor), managed to outlive NBC's version by about a year...

CJOH-CTV: 8 Cornwall/13 Ottawa (TVH still listed 8 as CJSS-TV, although it became CJOH-TV1 2 years earlier after being bought by CJOH)

9:30 Avengers "Killer Whale"
...was CTV running The Avengers before ABC did, or did CJOH pick this up on its own? IMDb says this was a 23 March 1963 episode from the second (kinescoped) season, with Honor Blackman as Patrick MacNee's sidekick...

CFCF 12-CTV Montreal

11:35 Pierre Berton
...there's a poor quality video file of Berton's 1971 interview of Bruce Lee at archive.org; I assume that Berton was pretty much the Canadian equivalent to Jack Paar or Johnny Carson?...

Hmmm...the Canadian Communications Foundation website at http://www.broadcasting-history.ca/index3.html implies that CJOH changed ch 8's calls at the time they bought CJSS...according to the records, when did CJSS become CJOH-TV1? ???

The translation for "two astronauts" was "two American cosmonauts"??

How did THAT happen? ???

The CCF website has a number of minor inaccuracies such as this. I have done some research in the past and I've contributed a few corrections along with some other additions. That's one error I had missed.

I think it can be most likely attributed to a word mixup on the part of TVH's editors. It should have said "Deux astronautes americains", not "Deux cosmonautes americains".

By the way, cosmonaut is another term used for astronauts and is used largely in Russia (and before 1991, the Soviet Union).

Is there any other grammatical errors in this listing?

Of course, this could've also been the title given to the listing services by Radio-Canada, so they may be just as guilty.

Anyone have a listing from another source to compare?
