Fun fact about "Gay Purr-ee" (2 PM, ch. 2): Chuck Jones protege Abe Levitow directed it and Jones himself moonlighted on the script. For that, Jones got fired from Warner Bros. (the film was made at UPA studios, the folks behind Mr. Magoo).
 
That's funny. In Celebration of US was supposed to air live in all time zones with the Pacific Time Zone continuing until 11 p.m. local time. This suggests that the program could have been tape delayed for playback in that time zone.
