I recall reading somewhere that the Buffalo VHF stations, especially 4 and 7, were hot and heavy with the infomercials during the 1990s, especially in late-night.

Re: Cantinflas -- this was a Mexican import, "Cantinflas y Sus Amigos", starring Mexican comedian and actor Cantinflas, known in the US as "Amigo and Friends". This series ran on the Televisa channels for many years:

And IIRC their slogan at the time was "With the warmth and wonder of Disney"...the station has always carried Disney programming ever since it launched.

C-band offered CBC Montreal and CBC North as I recall; were there any other CBC stations on there?

I had a C-Band dish for a couple of years between 1997 and 1999; during this period, I recall the CBC having CBC Montreal and two CBC North feeds -- one carrying programming on Atlantic time with local news from Newfoundland, and another being the CBC's Pacific feed with Vancouver news. (Both also had regional news and informational programming for the north.) In addition, the CBC also had a couple of transponders used for wild feeds and alternate feeds only. When I first got my dish in 1997, I also saw Radio-Canada (CBFT) and CBC Newsworld, but these ended around 1998 when they started digital service.
