RI Topic: Job Posting: 3 Full Power FM's in South Florida for sale.

Like WOLL on 105.5 which R-L still lists with a CP to move from downtown WPB up to that huge metropolitan market of Port St. Lucie.
Move them out of your market and then sell them?
Well, PSL does have a Club Med!

So which station(s) aim to gain from this move? Can a Keys station maybe move closer to Miami? Seems like a REALLY dumb move unless it's for a reason.....

There are always reasons, young grasshopper.

First, CC has the max ownership of stations in WPB now...wouldn't it be nice if a station DIDN'T have to be competed against? Esp. if you control it now?

Also, WKGR is moving to Wellington, becoming "part" of the CC WPB cluster from Ft. Pierce. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised when 105.5 "moves" to Treasure Coast if the classic rock gets dumped from 98.7 and the Oldies moves to the new 98.7.

So really, CC is upping the power of 98.7, moving them from a cluster to be sold, and removing a future competitor (that can't really be upgraded in WPB) from a market they intend to stay in. Smarter than you might think!!!

RadioX articulated exactly what I alluded to three posts back.
