Rich Zeoli leaving (most of) pm drive on WPHT.

Did Zeoli's 3-6p show bring in good ad revenue? If so, they'll try and find an affordable local host; otherwise, there is a glut of available national yakkers to plug in for just barter (and maybe a small fee).

If it's like everywhere else, the revenue has been dropping by more than 5-8% this past year. My guess is they asked him to take a pay cut and he said no. This is how they get to keep him at a figure they can afford. The radio airplay drives listeners to the podcast, and he can monetize the podcast any way he can. The replacement will take the money Zeoli turned down. The 4th quarter just ending was awful.

Don't know if it's permanent.
Apparently just today and tomorrow.

Both hosts are good on their own but great together. This would make a terrific morning show for WPHT -- much better than the current YouTube mess.

But as TheBigA points out, sadly, WPHT probably can't afford it.

I'm sitting here with 1210 on . It is now 3:20 Dom
Giordano's show ended and they have run 20 minutes of commercials. A tape starts running with Dawn Stensland's voice, a recording from a morning show. From when I don't know. I have turned it off. I was curious as to what would air.

Edit. 3:30 . Tony Bruno and Robin. They should just give Tony the slot. He's pretty good.

I literally couldn't care less about that station, but...they ran 20 minutes of commercials at 3 pm on a weekday afternoon?!?!

Sounds like they don't care about the station either.

I think they did that when they were canning a previous morning crackpot. Maybe there was a coverage issue - someone scheduled didn’t show and they were stalling.
