He has been gone from Rochester for well over a year now. But he forecasts the radio for WDKX every morning. Is he under contract for WDKX, and for how long?
That's interesting, perhaps he is their own in-house weather persona? Or not... :
Along the same lines, I wonder despite a change in ownership if the WHAM 13 newsfolk will still be connected to WHAM 1180. I don't mean just the weather reports, I mean as in Don Alhart plugging WHAM 13 news every night on the five o'clock news show on 1180(which I always seem to hear whenever I hit Adams Basin on my nightly drive from Brighton to Brockport.) I don't think 13 would let the connection die that easy though.
The ownership change at WHAM-TV happened near the end of March. I'd think after 6 months, it's pretty safe to assume any changes that would happen, would have happened by now.
In Syracuse, WSYR-TV still supplies weather to WSYR-AM, except in morning drive -- but that's no different than before. But besides that, there isn't a whole lot of partnership going on anymore. Not that they had a ton of news cooperation in the first place, but what little they once had seems to be gone.
