Richie Whitt on Greggo and Death of Rage

Wow. You need to read his articles on Greggo. He has Greggo in the crosshairs. i don't blame him for telling the truth. I blame him for knowing of Greggo'a past, taking up for him, but now acting like the victim when the same was done to him as was done to Rhyner.

I guess you missed this:

If Casey Kasem was still doing AT40, we could ask him to do a not so long distance dedication of the following song, from Greggo to Richie. [size=8pt](GREAT drum intro!)

and NO, this is NOT a reference to Corby Davidson in any way.

Richie, you knew what he was when you took him in.
Why were you surprised when you got bit???

...and Rhyner's dead

I don't know that I "blame" either of them. It makes for a great read though.

On another note, I personally feel this is just a great way to launch his new blog rather than "clearing his name" as he states, but I guess he has to state some reason.

At the end if the day, the dude's a writer, not a radio host (if that wasn't obvious), and this is too good a story to pass up.

At the same time, I don't believe he could have ever of "known" what he was getting into, as many here and on Richie's blog have stated. I was married to an addict for 7 years. It's one thing to "hear" about addicts, their behavior, and their web of lies and deceit, and another completely different experience to live it. You'll never truly have any idea of the chaos and destruction they create...until you're there.

Its great writing and an honest critique of both a narcissist drug-addled host whos days in Dallas are over and even worst management at CBS Radio..

The show was an attempt by CBS to take advantage of Greggo's past. Put the train wreck in PM drive up against his former show and hope it would create a buzz and draw listeners. But they never put a dent in the Hardline's ratings. That is more then likely the cause of Greggo's depression and eventual relapse. The HL was just as strong without him and he couldn't get any P1s over to The Fan. Once on top of the sportstalk world, now he was an outsider fighting for distant second place. Richie was his hired babysitter that's fate was always connected to his partner's. CBS finally came to the realization that the Rhyner vs. Greggo ratings war was a just a dream.

I doubt 'relapse' is operative word here. It's tagged relapse, bc know exposed. Look at his pattern betweem ticket and fan

Ticket=omni abent, lying, on the sick
ESPN eve's w RJ=mumbling/confused "relapse"
Dick Hunter 1360=on air meltdown "relapse"
John Clay Wolfe=aborted takeoff "relapse"
105.3 RAGE=omni abent, lying, weight, sick "relapse"

Then straight to 105.3. If you timeline it, when was the "clean" period, so there could even be a relapse. A junkie is a junkie, he was tweaking for years on The Ticket, and been tweaking ever since.
