Rick Astley is named the "Best Act Ever" on the MTV Europe Awards

Hey, even though I should be studying right now (got like 3 major papers to work on, including one on the current state of marketing pop music globally) I am instead watching European Music Awards. Looks really cool and great so far. Off the hook production, very receptive audience (as it was held in Liverpool), and a lot of American artists won awards this year. A major highlight is Obama fever. Check out this bit from the show between 30 Second To Mars and Katy Perry talking about our new president:
