Rita Cosby joins Pat Kiernan as co-host on 'The Ride Home' radio show

Why don't they do a recap of the day's news much like Noam does when he previews the day @ 5AM? That 5-6 AM hour is one of the best on WABC and Noam is under used by WABC. Having a one hour talk show with two hosts is just stupid IMHO. What do they actually have after all the traffic and weather clutter and the crappy PI spots WABC runs...20 minutes or so for content??? Who the hell is running that place??

I couldn't agree more. I heard Noam fill in for Mark Simone at the last minute when Simone couldn't make it in for one of his Saturday shows. He was terrific!

Noam personifies what radio managements and advertisers apparently don't understand about the so called "younger" demos. They think "youth" equates to potty-mouth jokes and celebrity worship. Nothing could be further from the truth. Trash appeals to all ages. Noam is a young father who's interested in the world around him and has a gift for articulating the stories of the day with compassion and humor.

If radio management would stop pandering to their perception of "youth" and trying to promote idiots like Elliot but instead hire talented, grounded professionals like Noam, maybe we'd see a reversal in the ever-declining talk radio numbers.

Young doesn't mean raunchy! Noam us a great example. WABC..wake up to what you've got before he is snatched up!!
